How to measure for costs based upon Square Footage per Panel

1. Measure your panel sizes based upon the information above.

2. Take the height of one panel in inches (round up to next inch if

fraction) and multiply by the width in inches(rounding up again). Do the

same for all panels in an opening or window area. This will give you the

square inch area for each panel.

3. Divide the size of each panel (Square inches) by 144. This will give you

the size in square feet per panel. If less than full square feet, round up to

the next higher square foot. Then add the panel square footage of all the

panels in an opening together for the opening's total square feet.

4. Multiply the total square feet of the panels in an opening by the cost

per square foot for a particular shutter product and the result will be the

cost for that opening.
                                   
                   Example:

A window opening size of 36" wide x 62" high that you want café style

shutters (usually to the height of the lower window sash). We will

assume a height of 32" to the top of the lower window sash. That would

require two shutter panels  @ 31-3/4"Tall x 17-13/16"wide.(Base upon

typical required  spacing)

Each panel would equal  32" x 18"(Rounded up) multiplied together to

equal 576 square inches, divided by 144 (Square inches in one square foot)

would equal 4 square feet per panel (rounding up not necessary), times 2

panels would equal 8 square feet of shutter panels. Multiply that square

footage by the cost per square foot of the style of shutters you desire and

that would be your cost for that opening.

Naturally, shipping costs are not included in that cost unless advertised
