Calculating the "cost per square foot" price for shutters !

A-I = Height dimension on an inside measurement
A-O = Height dimension on an outside measurement
B-I = Width dimension on an inside measurement
B-O = Width dimension on an outside measurement

Note: The heavy frame represents a window or opening casing or trim.

Calculating an approximate cost per square foot!

Formula for Pricing
Length x width x 144=Square foot area
(30 x 48=1440 sq.inch)

Sq. foot area x Cost / Sq. foot = Approximate cost of the shutter panels
(1440 sq. in divided by 144 = 10 x $15.00= $150.00)

Pricing does not include perimeter trim if required or shipping to your door.
When ordering or requesting a quote, include the opening dimensions, the quantities of opening. Also, if inside dimensions or outside requiring a wall mounted perimeter trim (L-molding or Z-molding).  Always include your Zip Code for shipping costs.

Example is as follows:

You have an opening or window that you have the width and length dimensions of  30" wide x 48" high and you are installing shutter panels directly to the surface of the opening jamb or inside wall. To achieve a square foot area, just take the width in inches and multiply by the length (30" x 48" =1440 square inches. Every square foot has 144 square inches. Take the total square inches divided by the 144 will equal the actual total square foot. (1440 / 144=10 sq. ft.) If fractional, round up to the next 1/2 square foot for price estimating. (Cost per sq. ft. is $15.00, there are 10 sq. ft. of area in the opening so: $15.00 x 10 = $150.00 for the shutters for that opening.
